Here's a cover that's been requested for a while now. It's also one of my favorite boss themes of all time! I knew that going into this theme, I had to be ready to shred some faces off. There are so many overlapping crazy melodies in this piece that even as-is are so tough to play. But add the fact that I try as hard as I can to change things up a bit and see if I can take it even further, I had a huge challenge ahead! Now, to get this out of the way (I'm anticipating some folks asking), I elected not to use a choir because I wanted to branch off from the Advent Children version as well as some either amazing metal covers of this theme. I had the idea to make a guitar choir, layer it a bunch of times, and flood it in church reverb to simulate a vocal choir. This turned out super sick and I think it gives it a unique spin. on the piece. I know some people will miss the choir but I really enjoyed this challenge and I'm glad I gave it a shot! I had a ton of fun with the rhythm guitars on this as well! I got to whip out some brutal chuggy rhythms to make sure my tone was on point. I worked on my bass tone a bit to try and get it even crunchier for these slow riffs as well. I'm super stoked on how it sounds! Overall i'm super happy with how this turned out and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it! ➤ The original "One-Winged Angel" theme from the game "Final Fantasy VII" was composed by Nobuo Uematsu ➤ Thank you to Biendeo for the game footage! ➤ Gear used in this cover: - ESP Guitars - Hughes and Kettner amplifiers - Fishman Fluence Pickups - Dunlop Jazz III Tortex picks - Monster Cables - Ernie Ball Strings - BIAS Desktop Amp Simulator Plugin - Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.0
