Here is a really pretty song called the Silver and Gold Two-Step, played on the violin!. I've loved this song ever since i learned it when I was a teenager. I've only heard it played very "fiddle-like," like a country-western two-step dance tune. It's is a nice way to play the song -- but for some reason I've always imagined ballroom dancing with lots of pretty backing strings when I hear it played. I thought I'd try to make the more "classical-ish" version that has been swimming around in the back of my mind. I might make a more fiddle-tune-ish version sometime in the future, too. =)
I haven't been able to find out much about this tune. Does anyone know who may have written it? It's such a fun and happy song, and kids love to dance to it when I play it while busking! =)
I'm not really sure what to think about the second part that I came up with. At first I thought it was a lot of fun, but now I'm on the fence with it again. It's a bit..different. I hope you still like it! =)
I love all the pretty flowers at this location! This was filmed at one of my favorite public gardens in a nearby town.
Thank you for watching!
