Potato diet? You gotta be kidding, right?
Well funny thing: it works...
And things are starting to make sense now, as there are at least 2 reasons -scientifically backed up- for why and how.
My personal results, and those of many others, show it works in the real world, and now we're beginning to understand why: Resistant Starch and chlorogenic acid.
Resistant Starch, or RS for short, is formed in for example potatoes when boiling in water and then cooling all the way down, meaning into the fridge with them. It behaves more like a fiber than a starch and is resistant to digestion, hence the name. So these carbs are not net carbs any more. One reason you get good success with this diet.
Another reason is that the chlorogenic acid -whilst being a strong anti oxygen- also slows the uptake of glucose into the blood stream after a meal. And potatoes are just full with chlorogenic acid!
So of all crazy weight loss diets, this here is one that works.
Plus, a high cab low fat diet works anyways, though potatoes might be amongst the most effective high carbohydrate weight loss foods.
