  • [ – ] MadJim reply no longer watch your videos on TY anyways, i only watch them here. It would be nice if more of the TY channels i watch were putting their vids up here aswell.
  • [ – ] NarniaTheMaineCoon reply YouTube is nothing without the creators ... YouTube = MySpace?
  • [ – ] TheNatGaming reply Kind of shocking that they think the only reason no one watches TV is because they cant watch it over their phone. Obviously it has nothing to do with the garbage that gets pumped out lol Its because we cant watch all those quality talk shows and reality tv shows on our phones
    • RAGEfit parent reply exactly, I'm not watching TV not because I don't have it available. I'm not watching tv because it's mostly garbage and a waste of time usually
    • Directionally_Challenged parent reply isn't there apps though like, Netflix and Hulu anyways where people CAN watch them on like tablets and stuff? XD I mean... come on YT...
  • Apepresident reply It's really baffling to see that youtube is now embracing TV eventhough it was originally designed to be the alternative to TV. My oh my this world is truly going mad....
  • Gondor reply Great Vid man! Your videos about YouTube are always great and have tons of info on why youtube is going to shit and your probably the main reason why i moved to vidme.
  • tmnsoon reply "TV has lots of great content" No. I haven't watched TV in more than 5 years, and every time a get a glipse, such as when I see someone else watching it, I get reminded how shit it is. TV was good back when there were not other options, but once you get the choice and power in your hands why on earth would you want to give it back to the big media fatcats?
  • [ – ] JadeJicama reply It still confuses me that Disney bought Maker studio SPECIFICALLY FOR Pewds, and then, the moment they had an opportunity, dropped him like a hot potato. The other thing I noticed while drifting down the Youtube trending tab today? The top four videos listed are 'Late Night with *insert generic, safe personality here*' videos.
    • [ – ] Apepresident parent reply Yeah TV shows were already taking Youtube by storm. You always had some of them on the trending page and every single one of those late night shows has about 1 million+ subs. So yeah, there's no way for smaller guys to compete.... Guess only the gamers are still lucky, since there aren't any TV shows dedicated to Let's Plays and the sorts of that ..... Yay???
      • ShinyBigBoo parent reply Having no knowledge of any of this, I was just saying today that late night shows are always on youtube trending, and I suspect they were purchasing that space. I bet the cable companies assumed young people would keep watching late night tv, so they put more money into it than ever... and we've all gone online. I'd rather get my content from you guys.
      • JadeJicama parent reply There was that one TV show that ProJared got invited to do a guest spot on...? Game... Makers? No, that can't be it... Of course, the on going story in that show is about a game development company, not game playing...
    • [ – ] OWNtheNWO parent reply It still confuses you after watching this video? Because this video perfectly explains why. This is a hostile takeover of the youtube content space by google and the rest of the mainstream media. The trending tab is nothing but paid promotionals, has been for a while now.
      • [ – ] JadeJicama parent reply Yes, it still confuses me because Disney doesn't routinely drop properties that they specifically set out to get their hands on. But, beside that, Pewdiepie has only gotten MORE followers from the WSJ's hit piece...
        • OWNtheNWO parent reply You've never seen a company buy something that is their competition only to shut it down or shelf it? That's because of the Streisand Effect and these troglodytes inability to understand censorship on the internet is treated as a routing error.
    • SkepticalCaveman parent reply I guess they thought that they could Control him like a puppet.
  • [ – ] Ravaging_Madman reply This video got me to uninstall my YouTube app from both my smartphone and my Xbox ONE. I refuse to waste my time with it or giving them any more views any longer.
    • MaxIzrin parent reply I'm refusing to install the recent update on Android, it asks for location access and other things it shouldn't need, probably to enforce locale content filtering.
  • [ – ] AtomicDog602 reply We are seeing the death knell of YouTube in slow motion. Sad that a YOUTube has become WeTube -We decide what you will see and watch, and it will be of the correct political ideology. Small content creators will and are being thrown under the bus. The good news is there are alternatives, and they will flourish.
    • [ – ] Apepresident parent reply Let's just pray to all the gods we know that Vidme isn't going to sellout like Youtube did ....
      • [ – ] wolfalexzemla parent reply you tube will buy them out if they get too big and pose a threat
        • Cidsa parent reply Amazon is supposedly going to release their video service soon so that might be an option as well.
        • Apepresident parent reply that sadly is also always a possibility. So on the one hand we want to get vidme big so we can create and watch more original content and at the same time we don't want it to get too ....
  • userXVI reply How will Youtube "Create" anything when they are openly censoring the creative original content that took them to the top in the first place. Creators will leave and take the following with them.
  • [ – ] Politics_N_Games reply At $35 a month, YouTube TV is gonna flop.
    • RAGEfit parent reply Netflix is $10/month. And Youtube has always been free. Too true. Dumbasses running Google's Youtube team
    • rulesforrebels parent reply Seems reasonable on the surface but assuming you already pay 50 or whatever for internet at that point may as well just use comcast or atnt
    • userXVI parent reply You see what sets aside an open and succeful growing community such as Vidme against "TV" is the TV stations recieve up to 11 million dollars per month from the US government and in return said TV platform will censor and alter its content to the taste of said US government. You see when someone not informed looks and see's 50+ different channels funded like this, many will play along. It doesnt matter how many people subscribe to Youtube TV. YouTube is over and done with, now its a game of what Video services will do and how far they will go to grab as much attention as posible and as far as I am concerned the people at vidme saw exactly this first. If things stay the same, people will flock to Vidme. But a word of advice to vidme, Allow people to put their own commercials into each video and charge a penny for the first 10 years for every 5 seconds if said creators wallet has made that much, everybody wins.
  • ThePhantom reply VIDME > YOUTUBE
  • liquidxlax reply Hope vidme can pick up most of the slack. If they can get the video game channels and crafting channels they'll be in the gold. Others will follow
  • xcwe4life reply If they go though with this shit us at XCWE and the straight edge punks may have to abandon that ship just in case if you are interested in a mix of xtreme wrestling comedy and profanity then throw us a follow
  • [ – ] RAGEfit reply god damn everything has to be about money. it's sickening
    • [ – ] Terrorful parent reply I've always said that YouTube was better before the cash came along. People made videos because they actually WANTED to, as a hobby and such. Tell people they can make money doing it and now you have to wade through the bullshit just to get to the good stuff which probably isn't monetized anyway!
      • RAGEfit parent reply Agreed terrorful, way too many people on youtube now for the money. And the vast majority suck ass
  • Rainbowdoodler209 reply I hate reality shows. Just screaming and yelling. I still go on YouTube from time to time. And I go to vidme as well.
  • Thegamingking reply Yo guys check out my channel I do amazing gaming montages like battlefield 1 and halo and other games
  • hayhoestudios reply Vidme's payment platform is genius, they are getting it right! Long live Vidme!
  • hayhoestudios reply This ContenT is great content! YT has always favorited the mainstream big boys...remember the YT Music Awards? Eminem, Rihanna, and several others were nominated for awards... lol
  • GoodKhaos reply That was very interesting. I'd never spend 35 dollars for what YouTube is offering...you're basically throwing away money. Nice to have a heads up about all of this so when it happens we're not blindsided. Keep up the good work!
  • BrandonVoiceVidme reply YouTube is tearing itself apart, and obviously don't care about the independent creators that put them on the map they just care about the next way to make that next dollar. It saddens me that I'm coming to the conclusion that I might also quit YouTube in the near future. I'm just glad I already have an awesome fan base here and is growing everyday
  • [ – ] MikeDance reply Fuck YT lol Vidme is the future but YTtv is ok since Sky is double and BBC charge everyone £145
    • [ – ] Daminous_Purity parent reply True but even the BBC have now stated that YT TV will require you to have a license as well as they are going after Netflix as well as the BBC says "Anything live" or anything "filmed / streamed live" with a camera comes under their rules. I stopped the TV license because I don't watch TV and I use it for gaming and the license guy came to the house claiming their laws so it's now with my solicitor.
  • MrATAndreiThomas reply I knew it, Youtube has officially betrayed us all. I also have a minds account with I will alert my followers on the following week.
  • PUREGAMINGDNA reply RIP YouTube! 🙏
  • Lefthandshake reply Great video. Some good insights. I just joined Vidme recently, coming over from YouTube. I have a small gaming channel on YT, which means I'm already fighting an uphill struggle in an over-saturated market, and these new changes are making it clear that YouTube couldn't give two shits about helping people like me grow. As an aside, I gave you a follow after briefly checking out the rest of your channel. At a glance I get the impression that your politics differ quite a lot from mine, but you present well-researched and thoughtful arguments, which is all too rare nowadays. I think it's important to listen to opinions that challenge your own.
  • [ – ] Tharen reply Youtube TV isn't replacing Youtube or Red. it's another service for TV
  • wolfalexzemla reply soon you will need a license to post videos on the internet
  • Gazarhya reply I think YT has kinda run away with itself. The shear infrastructure behind it is mind boggling, which is a hefty price. I think it is possibly so big, it is near impossible to make it a viable place for advertisers ATM, certainly not without upsetting many thousands of people, creating bad publicity, causing an exodus. If vid.me can keep on top of things, it can prove a very worthy adversary to YT and a useful tool for creators. Interesting video.
  • Jesulvis reply Call it ''youtuber migration'' !!! Soothes the times!! Actually 'Suityourself' got me here, I was axed from youtube ages ago for endless harassment for simple historical documentaries every student needs to know.... I'm not buying TV- not by any chance.... we got 100s of TV channel in Canada!
  • [ – ] Xexor reply "People mostly watch YouTube to get away from TV. That's kind of the point of it." Precisely. I "left" TV years ago, getting my entertainment from YouTube and sometimes from places like Netflix. But now with both going full SJW and becoming extensions of TV (basically), the whole experience is being ruined. All hail Vidme, the new, *better* home for thinkers and creators.
  • MarkWhippy reply Good news for Vidme I guess.
  • paindrain reply Besides the fact that the resistance and alternative sites are largely built on Youtube infrastructure, I am not entirely sure what you want to do! Hosting a site and streaming videos entirely yourself is expensive, and hard to break even from, and you are still using ads, or totally self invested. This site is partially held up thanks to youtube's streaming servers, its a strange predicament, but is it really surprising?
  • GamersForEarth reply Awesome video thanks for covering!
  • [ – ] lksgman reply Yuck seeing Telemundo and Universo also cocksucking that, made me hate them even more.
  • tmnsoon reply Hey Dave, please consider making your content available in podcast form like Stefan does -- it's much more convenient for a lot of people to be able to listen while driving, commuting, exercising or doing housework as opposed to sitting down and watching a video. Thanks!
  • getjipped reply i hate what youtube is doing by trying to bring in the MSM
  • VergilDMC reply YouTube is going to get away from free YouTube and start making people to pay for YouTube smh I'm not paying for no YouTube to watch videos
  • [ – ] TheEspressoCat reply Such Bullshit. Great video I hate to see some much TV-videos. Ridicoulos - thank you for doing his great video..
  • MasterMickeyTV reply Please stop using cartoons to represent yourself. It's really fucking annoying. It's a trend that should only have worked for kids. I know I definitely sound like a fucking asshole, but seriously you have got to stop doing that. At least you're not a cartoon ape or something, but it's still really god damn annoying and insulting.
  • DIFFERENT-PERSPECTIVE reply Its kinda nice that they are finally admitting they dont need content creators like us, about time they stoped bullshitting. good video!
  • jaycbee024 reply So the transformation into "HuluTube" is almost complete...? Took a decade from when we called it, but we were right.
  • Partially_Evil reply Who the fuck even are these people she claims are clamouring for TV content on YouTube??? I have not seen a single person (on Youtube or elsewhere) asking for Idiot-Box drip-feeding on the site, in fact the only words I've seen regarding this are vehemently opposed to it. So who is it? The media elite? Cause they're not your consumer base YouTube...
  • Smiless reply y̶o̶u̶TUBE
  • SirBlankFace reply It literally said most of this earlier today, the only difference is i had half this knowledge. It's not YouTube anymore, it's CorpHub. Let's get this new name to stick pls.
  • CryptoAndMarkets reply Great video Dave. Love when the YouTube CEO trying to skirt this by saying everyone carries a TV with them in their pocket. We all know it's BS of course since we use more mobile data than PC DATA already without youtube TV being a thing. Also, phone chips are out selling PC chips for the same reason. Also, YouTube TV is going into a skinny bundle space with already extreme competition, where other players have cheaper bundles with more content.
  • SunsetPop reply I remember people would make fun of you back in the days if you watched videos on the internet over tv. Now youtube is too mainstream haha
  • tonygreene113 reply Fuck that forever #youtube...
  • [ – ] Leadhead reply YouTube cheaters move to VidMe... Yeah!!
  • InnocentMusik reply This is one of the main reasons why I and perhaps many other content creators are avoiding YouTube. There is no way in hell for content creators can fight against TV organization. That being said, I'll be happily waiting for the death of YT.
  • Game_Idea_Guy1 reply Youtube is just doing what every other big entertainment company has done for generations...get in on the backs of the little guy, then kick him aside when the money bags show up.
  • SilentAssassin reply Sad to see youtube reduced to this. I still remember when youtube used to care about their users.
  • daneriksson reply Great video. YouTube will die a slow death, but will of course be heavily promoted in legacy media as they become a safe space for SJW:s. Vidme is a really interesting alternative and I hope they can find a way to make the site financially sustainable for the owners without the need of taking a knee for big finance or advertisers. Keep doing what you're doing!
  • PrincepsComitatus reply The Youtube CEO is an SJW.
  • bononoz1 reply YouTube has been going to shit, not listening to their creators and doing stupid shit like this, thank god for vid.me.
  • iJimUK reply Awesome video man, well now we all know what YouTube has in store for its creators.... Nothing, unless you can get on the trending list, which if memory serves me right is full of content from the big corporations which will be on YouTube TV. Time to pack my bags and leave the abusive relationship I have with YouTube, oh wait, I already have.
  • [ – ] SFATech reply Vidme is the future!
  • MrATAndreiThomas reply I have that fucking old witch who is the Chief executive officer of YouTube Susan Wojiski, fuck tv and fuck the Mainstream.
  • Oblivifrek reply Glad I'm started a Vidme channel here :)
  • FuManBoobs reply If you haven't already I'd like to see a video about the comments on YouTube. I'm lucky now if 50% of my comments actually get posted. Makes having a conversation about anything impossible. Want to paste facts, studies, quotes? Can't do that on YouTube.
  • aitchee reply I just made a vidme account to watch this.
  • wolfalexzemla reply you tube is the death star and facebook is the borg
  • blazedu reply what about the regular youtube creators? where will they be in thie new youtube? "oh you know, they'll all migrate to another up and coming site that won't censor or demonitize their videos. The users that made our website will all stop watching our same old tv content and will fuck our ass raw. In the end we'll be the new decaying site."
  • turkvangogh reply the GOOD NEWS is, someone else will come along, & give US REAL CREATORs a spot to upload.....even VIDME has deACTIVATED & taken down videos more than youtube ever has from my channel....Vidme forced me to removed all my NSFW content from my channel, or else i can't get donations.... I still can't get verified again, even after i took my videos down....VIDME is no different than Youtube.
  • turkvangogh reply i fucking hate how the internet is becoming a restricted, sensitive, opposite of free zone.
  • Lusin reply Excellent points. This is why I have my Vidme account as backup. Youtube needs bigger competition so other people can go there as an alternative and keep Youtube itself in check.
  • wearegods reply I can't wait to see how hard YT TV bombs. "It's only $35 a month" like $5 for YT Red was apparently not expensive enough I guess? XD
  • VitzHK reply #fuckyoutube
  • Westley_Nash reply Yeah, seems YouTube have become that friend who starts mixing with a new crowd & wants nothing to do with you anymore 🎩
  • Anonymous_Gamer reply thank you for your vids
  • PanickedPixel reply I actually don't think YouTube is going to screw smaller content creators as badly as you make it seem. I attended a Google Partners event for marketing agencies a couple of months ago here in Hong Kong and one of their top priorities in our region was to empower content creators through workshops, teaching them how to improve their own work. In fact, these past few months I've received a couple of invitations for free creator meetups/seminars that are meant to help creators find their way. They've also heavily been investing in teaching ad agencies on how to better use their Adwords platform (which also includes YouTube ads btw) and YouTube was mentioned pretty frequently during the event to sell the concept of increasing ad spend on Adwords. Not sure if YouTube has similar programs happening in other parts of the world but at least where I am, Google seems to be pretty committed to incubating new talent and making their ads more attractive to traditional marketing agencies. Smaller ...morecontent creators on YouTube is still part and parcel in that.
  • MisterHan2000 reply "Hey kids! Check out YouTube TV! Where you can watch TV over your phone! Because who cares about having an ACTUAL TELEVISION in your home, right?!" In all seriousness, this just feels like a giant waste, especially when you think about the existence of things like Netflix, where you can watch pretty much anything you want for chump change. Ugh, why am I still posting videos over there?
  • FrostCynical reply YouTube self killer for $$$$$
  • DomsPlaylist reply Help One Of the First Vid me Music Channels to Get Verified
  • Retro_Review reply Man, and I thought YouTube Red was bad...
  • THExANGELOLIGHT reply another alarming thing I'd notice is that there are a lot of news channels after news channels after news channels...
  • iAmEnglishTV reply YouTube is done
  • chait2096 reply This website needs the feature where you can minimize the video while searching for another one!
  • IanniEx reply hhmm....I just logged to VIDME to post this comment right now...To be honest for small youtubers like me is better go here because there are chases to get big there sense these are early days in this site BUT for some youtubers like KeemStar will never leave YouTube ! Because they will not gain that much views or subs i they used BUT acctualy is better because there we dont have addboicut or other stupid things ! This is why i shoud go VIDME but i will think 100 times because people that know me will not come there just for me..BUT the thing is that teenagers dont want to see tv where ever they are they want to see what they want because if we just loved TV we just stay on our house to watch this programs but no ! There is no entertainment on TV !!!!
  • CrispyToast reply YouTube TV? I'll pass.
  • [ – ] Bravelander reply Alright Vidme people I'm new around here, got any channel suggestions.
  • DoneIt reply It was just a matter of time. TV companies have noticed a drop on digital. Sadly. However, i don't really think this will have a big inpact on Youtube. BUT, RA will drop like crazy for smaller Youtubers. We'll just have to wait and see what Google does about this all.
  • jogsearth reply Oh hence thats why i like vidme, please dont go down the youtube!
  • jogsearth reply I just want to watch clips of stuff posted by anybody that happens to interest me in that moment Im not a customer, consumer, wanting a product experience, that kind of talk/thinking turns me off big time,im a person that likes to listen to other human beings on the internet occasionally and not be thought of as product customer partnership therefor i hate tv and nearly all radio
  • TacticCrush reply didn't they try this before. What was it called hmm bulu, culu, dulu, Oh right Hulu and how did that work out. Well after they swapped to a paid service people went to other streaming sites to get their fix of anime or shows (crunchyroll, funimation, CWTV Seed).
  • Shockles reply In the arms of an angel.... R.I.P. Youtube
  • sapphiredskye reply I don't even watch any YT anymore anyways.
  • Timberwolf reply Great info video.
  • Dobzy reply Hey man loved the video mind following?
  • BaEVideosCreators reply Used to be on you tube now I'm Not
  • NoCopyrightJamz reply Hey Creators! <3 Feel free to use some of our awesome no copyright music!
  • Profitsforall reply If someone would of told me two or three years ago that YouTube is turning into a safespace, mainstream tv only based company I would of said you're crazy. But we have to move forward to bigger and better things.
  • Maplaptop reply YouTube is dead anyway
  • VidPoet reply Ps. -aha, I do not have any "smart" phone..why? because they are not smart at all!
  • VidPoet reply I`m moving from YT to VidMe :)
  • VidPoet reply It was interesting!!!!
  • GlennTheFrog reply Never heard of you until now. You've got my attention and I'll be following from here on out. ☺️
  • madel_schmadel reply They demonetize and hide FCC-compliant content like Steven Crowder "to protect the children", while promoting far-left Young Turks (whose name glorifies freaking genocide) as it drops the F-bomb every three seconds. It's clear what the content restrictions are really about - ideological content.
  • The_World_of_RipX reply Looks like we all made a good decision then :)
  • Suyane reply Thanks for letting us know about vid-me I had no clue!
  • spiderfan_MJ reply YT as we know it has been dying for a long time. Good riddance.
  • VertigoPolitix reply Youtube took billion dollar losses for years but the Internationalists kept throwing money into it and buying up competitor niches knowing full well they and their masters at Google would control the world's visual content. We creators are only jumping to smaller and increasingly smaller ships; and we are all going to end up in the water if platforms like these can't be made to float...
  • drewwest_press reply Excellent explanation.
  • [ – ] DeckerShado reply So YouTube's business strategy will work because the younger audience will suddenly start watching TV on their smart devices, and the older TV audience will suddenly invest in smart devices to watch TV on, all for $35 a month? In other words, YouTube's business strategy won't work.
  • AngelesBrosMindset reply feel bd for those youtubers who made youtube what it is and now are being put on at the end of the line..how sad
  • joelsterG reply Great video, I saw this coming too, I already started to move my videos to vidme, I just need more followers 😄
  • AP_Games reply Sad to see Youtube, which was once such an equalizing and empowering platform, go down the drain. I'm slowly transitioning to Vidme as well - the writing is on the wall for YouTube and I have no intent of sinking with that ship. Keep up the free speech fight!
  • THOMPSONATOR reply I swear, Pewds is going to be President of Sweden one day.... Gonna make that feminist nightmare world great again....
  • ThunderstruckCanuck reply I hate tv and loved YouTube.. Yes loved past tense.
  • OnyxDigitalCommissions reply I here by dub the hasbeen broken down washed out Youtube officially as CorporateTube. :) It makes sense to exclude the "you" in "YouTube" and just replace it with "Corporate" thus, CorporateTube seems to suit them nicely. Maybe if we spread the term around the vidme community, it'll stick.
  • PREDRAGSG reply VERY TRUE... IT IS IN MY OPINION YOUTUBE'S DEMISE BY WIDENING TV ON YOUTUBE PLATFORM, WHILE IGNORING AND STEALING FROM INDIVIDUAL CONTENT CREATORS AND THEIR HELP TO PLACE YOURUBE TO IT MAX POTENTIAL... SO I GUESS ... IT IS ALL DOWNSTREAM FOR YOUTUBE... AND VERY GLAD FOR VIDME AS NEW KID ON THE BLOCK, WITH MUCH HIGHER INTEGRITY THAT YOUTUBE EVER REACHED IN FULL LAST 12 YEARS OR SO... THAT HAS BEEN ACTIVE...
  • Insidio reply You Tube You Loser To AI Fire Wall is a trap - Go Rogue
  • Odd_Pod reply Its quite sad that they arent trying to support youtube creators and help them grow their channels into a "TV" like show. I feel like my channel could be pushed aside any minute for a random tv show.
  • hungowapower reply I'm on vidme thanks to this video on YouTube
  • LiLFlyer reply YouTube want to be family friendly now so that's why I'm on Vidme now
  • cannotaccess reply What happens is when you find interesting content on Vidme, YouTube will be used less and less especially if the content creaters you watch on YouTube makes a account on here.
  • WhatNextSunshine reply Thank you for the info, there is so much going on... I cannot keep track of it. Best, WNS
  • 420brian reply YouTube has private public partnerships with government ... that means it is Not a Private Business now, in and moral sense anyway. YouTube Google are run my Nazis they will probably not live when the civil war happens for real ... and I think it is going to happen soon.
  • 420brian reply I'm on YouTube and Vidme and I upload to both YouTube and Vidme I don't use links. Why, because I'm going to leave YouTube when the time is right. I will also send them a nasty Email when I'm done with them.
  • 420brian reply Another retarded women. I have not watched TV or Radio or Movies or magazines or news papers for 20 years. Fuck MSM all of it.
  • rick8846 reply People still watch TV
  • rick8846 reply I'm new so I'm still checking this out but I like it so far
  • rulesforrebels reply I hate this idea more than racism animal abuse snd herpes put together
  • ADHDX20 reply Thanks for the advice ,im up and running .
  • bodthekiller reply Christ that took some doing I agree YouTube and Facebook are both starting to try and block access through shady practice
  • EquallyWorthless reply I hope this same crap doesn't eventually happen to Vid.me. Let Youtube will become the normie TV site and Vid.me take the place of old-school Youtube.
  • SpeakingOfGames reply They should really fix their current issues before they start more silly shite
  • CommonSense__ reply I just made a vidme account and joined.. At least Vidme has that intuitive YouTube look and feel to it,. Something that is completely absent on minds.com.
  • edmcmann reply Yes. Well said.
  • [ – ] Luciful_Mephisto reply Keep up the good work Comp. Now we just need to convert a few more big redpilled youtubers to Vid.
  • ScaryStoriesNYC reply Yes, you're catching on. Eric Schmidt of Google designed Hillary Clinton's inarguably terrible campaign and expected her to win because his cronies who oan these channels you list were all planning on trashing her opponent. It turned out the public preferred truth to propaganda and got their news from YouTube instead of the lying corporate media (I'm looking both at MSNBC and FOX). SO priority one for Schmidt was to de-monetize independent news on YT and try to make it disappear before the next election (they're attempting the same with wikileaks). Now you can't just ban news PLUS they saw this as a chance for the handful of companies who own all corporate media to get their monopoly back. So they decided to make it impossible to start a new channel, and to harass the creators they have, hoping many of them will leave. My last video was a kids story about Bigfoot. YT called it "shocking content" and de-monetized it. Meanwhile I can turn on El Rey and watch nudity and cursing. Jimmy Do...morere gets de-monetized for explaining the truth about why the US wants to bomb Syria but it's okay for Stephen Colbert to make gutter anti-gay jokes about the leaders of two countries. This is all deliberate-- if they can make YT into all G rated videos about how great Islam is, while TV is much wilder, they think they can have their media monopoly back AND silence not just dissent, but truth itself. So yeah, they want the non-corporate part of YT to be all cat videos and brainless narcissists staring at the monitor instead of the camera. They don't want people who think. If people who think want to be a hit on youtube, YT wants them to pitch their ideas to a production company -- they are trying to turn the clock back to the 90s or earlier, and they are doing it because they want to control. Everything. But they want Assange dead, so I suppose we can be glad they only want to deny the rest of us our right to make a living. Although after this rant they may put me on the kill lost as well.
  • [ – ] TheArkady reply Yep. This is why I'm moving my videos from YouTube to here. Even gaming videos are being blacklisted, except for Nintendo ones.
  • CYMetro1985 reply You Tube TV is TV 2.0, I hope Vid Me will take over you tube one day! and YouTube goes the same way as MySpace
  • SunsetPop reply This is great!!!, now vidme will be popular haha
  • blindfire reply Love the pepe/dave combo.
  • Zaria reply Im going to start watching your vids here, bye YT
  • JimGiant reply I'd be happy to accept YoutubeTV being a product for their favoured creators if they weren't going out of their way to demonitize and hide content from everyone else on the regular platform.
  • weekendwarrior reply So the primary draw of youtube, original content made by its users, isn't what they're using? They're just gonna be some TV app on mobile? Don't they see it's a bad idea to begin with? This is rather fucked up.
  • Daminous_Purity reply Shows the big wigs at YouTube have lost the plot especially as you said they promote TV over everything else. Yea like anyone will believe anything from TV people isn't scripted LOL! All TV personalities are scripted
  • Jimmy_Skillz reply Great stuff!
  • TheScreaminGoat reply Bruh the yt CEO sounded just like the Xbox e3 2013 conference by talking about the future of TV.
  • The_ColeSparks reply Nice ending. Very cool lightning effects which is probably made by President Fart. Also YouTube turn into SharTube.
  • g0bkF7Ss reply To be honest i have been coming to vidme more and more since you spruked it a while back. The place is pretty neat!
  • WildleHouse reply 35$ a month is way too much, there's are planes that are cheaper and offer more like hulu, netflix, crackle, hbo go,sling tv and even crunchyroll offers anime, things you can buy and drama shows and manga.
  • Focus_Entertainment reply Awesome video dude.
  • Y2JayDoesAsia reply @ComputingForever have you made a submission to Daniel Amann for his upcoming collab video?
  • WooFit reply GREAT video!!! man.... I hate what they are doing. it's literally KILLING what youtube has BEEN since day one... So extremely frustrating.
  • FindingWonderment reply Everybody just needs to migrate over to Vidme. It's a shame when events like this transpire and stunt content creators.
  • REVENANT reply I believe that YouTube see us as the few and their the many but reality will change that as long as real information is delivered elsewhere like here. Thank you for your content.
  • RAGEfit reply Doesn't sound fine on paper. Sounds dumb af. TV is dying, this is stupid as hell
  • TidBits reply Love your style of doing these videos. Keep it up man
  • Elias79 reply Does HD buffer for everyone?
  • wolfalexzemla reply The sad thing is people will shell out money for yt to build this into a monopoly. And line the pocket of eric schit
  • Hawkticus_Maximus reply I finally moved my procrastinating ass over here, and its thanks to you Dave. Keep up the good work man
  • [ – ] SamEarl13 reply Was she paid to say TV at the start of that interview, crazy that they think the only reason people don't watch TV is because it isn't on phones (even though a lot of channels have their own apps as you said). No one watches TV for a channel, they watch it for the programs that are on the channel and being able to watch them on demand without having networks and cable subscriptions jammed down people's throats is why people go online to view content.
    • [ – ] Apepresident parent reply Sadly a lot of CEOs and people who have a lot of power in those big corporations know very little about why customers are actually loving their stuff. Happens with video games all the times .... now it's also happening with youtube ... sad time
      • SamEarl13 parent reply Definitely, I expect that they'll always assume what they think is right as long as they have money in their pockets.
  • [ – ] nekollx reply just a point worth mentioning Rhett & Link is a regular youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/rhettandlink2 But YTTV has it in the same listing as Old TV so they are actull evevating some toobers to TV level
    • iJimUK parent reply Yeah, Rhett & Link were the only channel I recognised at the start of the run down, everyone else was umm TV
  • Maplaptop reply We all know that the best thing on YouTube was the content creaters, Can not see CNN play Pokémon lol.
  • LadyFuzztail reply This is gonna be Blip.tv all over again.
  • PirateMonkE reply I've pretty much switched to watching your videos here on vidme, as well as anyone else that has made the jump. I wish more people would jump ship so this site can grow and one day topple over youtube.
  • GameWolf reply One of the major reasons why many smaller channels, including me, keep uploading here. I just don't see how the people at YouTube aren't facepalming at themselves yet.
  • single-player reply Awesome video man, just joined vidme today ;)
  • chris613 reply In the future there will be two separate species of humans on the internet, the ones who are locked away on corporate "you"tube and the other who is open to new brighter websites like vidme. I hope that people will truly understand what youtube is trying to do.
  • rulesforrebels reply i dont like this move, however in fairness to youtube many people upload tv shows without the proper rights or licensing or whatever of various shows and this stuff tends to get a lot of views. lookup something like natgeo's show locked up abroad. youtube probably figures ratehr than having to constantly take down this content and it is being watched, they may as well be the ones to make money off it. initially i was going to signup for youtube tv. i realize there's cheaper options but noen the less i was considering it, reasonable cost on the surface at $35 and i liked the selection of channels however when you really think about it, if your paying 50 or 60 for internet and then add 35 for youtube tv your essentially at or close to the price you could just to comcast or at&t.
  • WowDMove reply Without content creators, YouTube will die if more priority is TV shows. Well more dead .
  • MakThaNife reply I just hope vid.me comes out with a Roku app. I gave up Cable and Satellite tv. Wanted to totally unplug from the MSM. It was really easy to do thanks to my Roku and YouTube. Now YouTube is going to pot =(
  • StunnedHD reply Vidme is sick
  • FrostCynical reply YouTube self killer for $$$$$
  • THExANGELOLIGHT reply I don't go on youtube to watch tv, and now I'm here in Vidme. Great job youtube, great job....
  • Envy-Noson reply What about Youtube Red?
  • Ms_K reply wow such an informative video and it's good to see the waiting on the "wall"...#upvoted #sharedVideo
  • Dexter561 reply i use youtube for a lot of things but not for tv if you want tv and watch tv and if i want what i cant find there i use netflix youtube is my get away from normal tv, tv is my get away from my computer i dont want them combined
  • pokematic reply When will all the companies (not just YT and facebook, but the companies that buy ad space) realize that people actually don't like SJWs, and that there's money to be made on the right?
  • Terrorful reply The only reason I watch TV is because my family still enjoy that hour or two at night when everybody is winding down from work with a beer or something but that's it; background noise at best. TV is not a major factor of our lives. I can't stand people who are constantly glued the TV watching the latest episode of (this bullshit and that bullshit) whilst playing video games on another screen and sometimes stopping to check their SnapChat notifications or some bullshit.
