With this video comes many personal experiences leading up to something I have struggled with. Instead of deconstructing nasa, our food system, history, our society as intended, I focused on something controversial because it is part of my journey. This video won't be for everyone. It is my hope that I won't offend anyone, but I also know I cannot please everyone. I am well-intentioned and candid. With growth comes perception and understanding... I hope wisdom as well. Much love.
-Deconstruction: a method of critical analysis of philosophical and literary language that emphasizes the internal workings of language and conceptual systems, the relational quality of meaning, and the assumptions implicit in forms of expression.
-Anagnorisis: is a moment in a plot or story, specifically a tragedy where the main character recognizes or identifies his/her true nature, or that of the other character's true identity, or discovers true nature of his situation, or that of the others, leading to the resolution of the story.
-Peripeteia: is a reversal of circumstances, or turning point.
-Gnosis: to know.
-Shaman: a person regarded as having access to, and influence in, the world of good and evil spirits, especially among some peoples of northern Asia and North America. Typically such people enter a trance state during a ritual, and practice divination and healing.
-Therianthropy (the word I couldn’t remember): is the mythological ability of human beings to metamorphose into other animals by means of shapeshifting. It is possible that cave drawings found at Les Trois Frères, in France, depict ancient beliefs in the concept.
After explaining how scientists made equations (300 pages worth) to describe what sugar tastes like, Robert Bauval laughs and says that it would only take us seconds to experience it for ourselves and know. Then he says that we are mysterious and precious, each of us are endowed and equipped to have an exciting life on this planet. Our society enables us to live through others (social media, reality tv, celebrities) and not as ourselves. We are told to fear foreign lands and cultures (the British Empire spreading “civilization” to the “savages”) and to live within small means. I found his words beautiful, and thought you might, too.
