  • mikeinthehouse reply That was one of the best NC episodes of 2017! That tunnel scene was really batshit insane!! XD
  • Giovanni4 reply What a great way to spend 20 minutes! Watching Nostalgia Critic rip apart this movie!
  • JBFNY428 reply Lest we forget every person who watches this makes Gene Wilder spin even harder in his grave!
  • [ – ] MysteryMii215 reply It looks rushed because it was probably rushed into production after Gene Wilder died last year.
  • [ – ] ImpureTale reply Slugworth was German in the original too. His accent just wasn't as thick. (And since the town Charlie's home and the factory existed in WAS GERMAN that's not at all surprising.)
  • Triggerfinger19 reply What is this fanfiction bullshit going on with these tom & jerry movies?
  • [ – ] BrandonCroker reply That was as glorious as a gobstopper! The review, not, not the movie. Though hearing one of the Rugrats recite the famed tunnel scene was amazingly batshit!
  • [ – ] AngryFanboy reply HOLY SHIT!! How did you miss that really creepy **UPSKIRT** shot of Underage Verucca Salt? Scan to -5.23 to see it. What the fuck WB?
  • bdalbor reply Haha! The tunnel scene really didn't disappoint! I was actually going into that with very low expectations, but,... holy shit! lol Great review man!
  • GoatSkull reply Fun fact! No one actually told the kids in the 70's that Wilder was going to start screaming like that and their reactions on film are real.
  • [ – ] Kimota reply Tom and Jerry was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid, just let them die, they are already dead.
  • [ – ] MysteryMii215 reply The only connection between “Tom and Jerry” and both “The Wizard of Oz” and “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” is that Turner owns the rights for all 3 properties (corporate sibling of Turner, Warner Bros, distributes the films for Turner. Also, they somehow made a sequel to Tom and Jerry: The Wizard of Oz.
    • [ – ] bradleyangle129 parent reply Though both Tom and Jerry and The Wizard of Oz were originally properties of MGM.
      • MysteryMii215 parent reply That is correct, but when Turner both brought and then ended up selling off MGM back in the 80’s, Turner ended retaining the rights to all MGM films released before May of 1986, and the Tom and Jerry property (and then Time Warner bought up Turner in the 90’s).
  • AutobotJediIronmanYT reply The part where Tom is holding a American and German flag: Germany had a different flag at the time(West german), and the U.S. flag only has 9 stars. THIS MOVIE MAKES NO SENSE.
  • EquallyWorthless reply I'm getting a vibe of the Mario and Zelda CD-i games from the animation.
  • FieldersChoice reply This pained me. I wont let the kids watch this or the remake. I loved the Original with Wilder. I wrote him a letter sadly just before he passed to thank him for protraying an iconic character from my childhood
  • Tfurstman reply Nice Pink Floyd and Spongebob joke!
  • Fighting_Zenith reply Ugh, these Tom & Jerry movies rival the '70s episodes in terms of how execrable in terms of being Tom & Jerry. And people wonder why I find Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon funnier and better made than this. Hell, Tim Burton's version is still better than this. I'm all for American Hand-drawn animation, but this is an insult to MGM, Warner ('38-'57 and '67-'69), Disney, Fleischer (underrated), Terrytoons, even UPA, Van Beuren, and Screen Gems.
  • neo4812 reply people say that the first movie was bad, its Oscar worthy compared to the sequels and spin offs
  • GaryTurbo reply This makes the Johnny Depp version looks like a masterpiece (although the Johnny Depp version wasnt bad)
  • JayToonz reply Um..You just made me want to see this movie haha.
