Josh Wege found a new family in a motley crew of fellow amputee veterans on the softball diamond. Together, they’re embracing a second lease on life by embarking on a nationwide journey to compete against non-disabled teams, inspiring us to dig deep within ourselves and remember that super humans are everywhere. Communities like the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team -- comprised of men and women who have lost limbs serving their country -- find connection and support in their shared history, and also run a volunteer softball camp for 8-12-year-olds with amputations. Each summer they provide these campers with not just confidence, but also role models for the future. These real-life guardian angels show kids that anything is possible – and that family is the ultimate power.
