  • [ – ] TekTherapy reply I used the Creative Suite for years at work. If u use Photoshop and Aftereffects beside Premiere it is worth it. But off course there are free or cheaper alternatives. Currently I am still editing with Magix Video Deluxe Premium, which I find more than easy to work with and has Mercali stabilizing included. As well it has an upgrade path to Video Pro X. Premiere has a steeper learning curve at least for me.
    • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply Thats what I slightly worried about is that learning curve. I already edit on there elements program so I am hoping the jump wont be to big. my first couple of days on it I am just going to try and edit normally then go into the fancy shots. cant wait for the weekend to get out there and film some cool shots.
      • [ – ] TekTherapy parent reply Premiere Pro is very different from Elements. But there are several great online courses available on and similar for fair prices. (For Premiere Pro). I can only suggest the thing i did, trial out every software just for one edit even if it´s time consuming it is worth the investment ! And you can really choose what fit´s u best.
        • StefanJenkins parent reply I think thats what I might do also there are so many people who give great tutrious online I will find a way to self learn. so far it has been working great :)
    • [ – ] SurfersSelfies parent reply yea bro i still use imovie ahahah thanks for the heads up :D
      • StefanJenkins parent reply I keep seeing great reviews from people who use Imovie
      • [ – ] TekTherapy parent reply As long as imovie fits ur need stick with it ;-) Great channel btw! I researched and tried several video editors for over two months but most had such a terrible workflow. And Premiere does have some issues even so it´s a pro product it isn´t always as rocksolid. Since u are on the mac you could always upgrade to final cut.
  • [ – ] amberthest reply My current editing program is causing a lot of problems for me. Why cant the good stuff be a bit cheaper? haha
    • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply O know right its such a pain!!!!!!!! I like my money for candy
    • [ – ] nodetact parent reply What's funny on my end of things is that, while it's true I only really like using WLMM after almost never making videos my whole entire life, I beg to differ that I'm definitely going to miss some of its features, be it if I move on to the Adobe Suite, Vegas Pro, Dragonframe (for the claymation series, Project Tether), etc.. It drives me crazy how versatile my starter content equipment is... Hopefully after verification and monetization for my channel, even if I can't actually use the funds yet I'll at least have the peace of mind that the money is there to use for anything I wish for it. But I still believe in 100% creation upgrade usages with any cash!
      • StefanJenkins parent reply I think creation upgrades are always good if you have an idea what your going to use the new stuff for :) and yer that would be awasone with the montization
  • [ – ] iJimUK reply Before you take out a second mortgage on Adobe CC have you tried HitFilm? They offer a. Awesome video editing software for free, no limitations or 30 day trial. Seems they have a bigger better version they like to sell. I tried it but my dual core laptop couldn't handle it.
    • [ – ] SurfersSelfies parent reply have u ever used imove its simple but so good plus its free on mac
      • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply I haves used I movie, because I have always had a PC i have heard good things about it though
        • SurfersSelfies parent reply its so smooth to work with and once u figure it out u can edit so fast, when i first started 1 video would take me 1 hour to make not it takes 20 mins on a good day lol
    • StefanJenkins parent reply Cheers mate I will check that out. I have got it free for month and will have play with the all software and make the decision then 😀. Haha second migrate I haven't got one yet. One day hopefully 😀
  • [ – ] frawstakwa reply It's gonna take me a while to read through these comments...
  • [ – ] frawstakwa reply Feels like all the equipment I need is too expensive, ha ha... #peace dude...
  • [ – ] frawstakwa reply Feels like all the equipment I need is too expensive, ha ha... #peace dude...
  • [ – ] Dragoninkmusic reply If your looking for cheaper options, we use the Panasonic HC-V180, the image is crisp in all levels of light, and the audio is fantastic. I checked the price in the uk, and it goes for only like 200 pounds. Thought it might be worth looking into for ya...
    • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply Thats not bad and the reviews look great as well.
      • Dragoninkmusic parent reply well you've seen our videos, they're all made with that camera, no added effects to clean up the footage or coloring, no audio treatment or external mics (except in the diy sound treatment episode) just the stock standard camera and best bit, if you don't need to wander around you can film using mains power
  • [ – ] RealProTV reply whi is estonian flag on your pc 😄
  • [ – ] JustABloke reply Now that you mentioned the focus problem, I'm starting to notice it as well LoL have you tried manual focus ? As far as equipment pricing goes, I think it is all relevant. 15 years ago people were saying, can I afford that, it's 2 weeks wages.
    • StefanJenkins parent reply Thats true. its all relative I guess. and thats a great idea I will give that a try for my next video tonight see how that works
  • [ – ] nodetact reply @PoeticOldSoul She writes poetry, obviously, but I still think that Stefan J. would find her refreshing... especially as a daily vlogger! There is a lot you can learn about the works behind video editors without being too nerdy/speculate about them, but you have to admit, for some invigorating reason, even creative professionals have vantage points with customizing their content. As I see it, there's the juggernaut (saves a generous amount of money before making any decisions with it), the stealth (takes risks often for the greatest chances at potential monetary gain), the all-rounder (is both financially secure and quality oriented) and the specialist (invests into well-timed yet reasoned payment). Seeing as how you're decently equipped with a healthy mindset as well as superb intellect, cancelling your gym membership so you can afford to do what you love in the namesake of digital media is the least of your worries, to be completely honest with you - I even remember retiring from ...more24 Hour Fitness here in Spring (one of the Harris County suburban communities north of Houston, TX, if you remember) and believe me, it had way more to do with actually desiring exercise and not being too time consumed than it was for me to give up from the cliche difficulty!
    • StefanJenkins parent reply Thanks I just checked her out her poetry wasnt bad. amazing voice. the kind you want on audio books or the radio. and yer that true there are worse reasons for givning up the gym :)
  • [ – ] SurfersSelfies reply sweet video man :P and yea the world of creativity is so $$$ lol my stand itself cost me $70 but it was marked down from $120... i was looking at a few cameras and im like wow how will i ever get that ahahahah like the sony A7s so good but costs so much
  • [ – ] SakulTalks reply gutes video
  • [ – ] MrJoelDee reply Totally off subject of the video I know lol, but what happened to your neck? After you thought you had a phone call, it had this red spot for the rest of the vid. Not a bad thing, lol, I'm just weird and notice that kinda thing and get curious.
    • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply Haha I knew someone would pick that up I honestly have no idea, I must have add and itch or something and scratched to hard. When I was editing this. I was like what the hell happened to my neck. Did I get attacked with out knowing?
  • [ – ] Rage_By_Nightfall reply Meh, I think it depends on what you wanna buy. If you wanna get the Canon 80D DSLR then it's expensive but me personally, I use a GoPro Session and iMovie and my video turn out well.
    • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply I must say i do love go pro footage. I need to use it so much more
      • [ – ] Rage_By_Nightfall parent reply That's the only camera I use. Not bad for $300 as opposed to a $1500 camera. But the Canon DSLR's are really good if you have money to burn.
        • [ – ] SurfersSelfies parent reply dont u keep it stationary at most times tho. stef is shooting himself while walking so even if u invest in a decent lense it could help alot. but the camera's focus is a little odd lol. if u like my footage i use the olympus OMD Mk 1. its pretty chill but doesn't have a mic port
          • [ – ] Rage_By_Nightfall parent reply I mean I also do vlogs from time to time as well. So it works for many different situations.
            • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply Go pros I think are the best all round camera for 300 dollors and they are so tuff as well. You drop them off building they survive no problem.
              • [ – ] Rage_By_Nightfall parent reply Well unless you crack the lens of course. The only thing about them that sucks is they are HORRIBLE in low light conditions but if you film inside during the day when there is good sunlight or outside, then you're good. I've been pretty lucky that I've had good, lit rooms because some rooms are bad to record in.
              • [ – ] SurfersSelfies parent reply my under water Lumix was $300 and its pretty good too but it cant get the 60fps :/
                • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply I dont think you always need 60fps is that what you flim in?
                  • SurfersSelfies parent reply hell now. never do normal film with 60 fps the natural look is always going to be around 25 - 30 . i just need it for slow shots. imagine being in a beautiful beach or a waterfall in the forest and doing some cinematography there while playing some nice music in the background with 120- 60 fps itll look beautiful
          • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply Its kind of like 50 50 stationary and 50 moving. thats awasome your camera brings out some amazing shots. shame about the mic port :(
        • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply Yer no doubt you defently get your moneys worth out of that bad boy
          • [ – ] TekTherapy parent reply Why not jump on a Panny, have used Canon´s and Panny G´s side by side. And you really get alot more features and 4k recording for far less on the MicroFours.
  • thesassysergio reply Look at him all branded and investing. That sounds awesome man 😜 keep it up. But Your quality it is pretty nice already 🔥🔥
