It's our last full day here in Greece before going back to Germany. This time we are going to take a look at the Acropolis in Athens and explore Plaka, one of the olderst parts of the city. It was an amazing day and a great experience, standing at such an amazing place full of history. The only thing that bothered me a little were the crwods. Unbelievable how many people were up there. It was hard to find a way around all these people. Besides that, it was just amazing. Have you been to Athens and have you seen the Acropolis? How did you like it or is this a place you still have on your bucket list? After visitng the Acropolis we went to Plaka, the old part of the city to take a look around and to get some dinner before going back to the Hotel were we end the day with a nice Jet Ski ride. The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on an extremely rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon. The word acropolis comes from the Greek words ἄκρον (akron, "highest point, extremity") and πόλις (polis, "city").
