  • [ – ] Raptor_Actual reply I pretty much switched over everything I could after the news this week. Chrome to Firefox YouTube to Vidme/Vimeo/Full30 Facebook to Mind Twitter to Gab Gmail to Tutanota Google to DuckDuckGo Anyone got any suggestions to add to that?^ Imagine what a blow it would be to far-left internet outlets if everyone did this.
    • GeneralTiberiusxX parent reply To be honest stuff like what's going on with YouTube is one of the reasons why I join vidme me
    • [ – ] Reineostar parent reply Other alternatives I know of not listed: Maxthon (web browser known for it customablity) Bitchute (Same as Vidme but alot less popular) Searx (nontrackable search engine)
      • [ – ] Davd767 parent reply I'm surprised no one mentions duckduckgo as an alternative to Google. Is there something wrong with it that I don't know or it's just not so popular anymore?
        • [ – ] NeoGeeked parent reply The search results kinda suck
          • Golgotha777 parent reply It's fine for me, I've been using it for a year at least.
          • [ – ] Davd767 parent reply I haven't ever had a problem with it, but I can see how it may give different results than some others.
            • [ – ] NeoGeeked parent reply Yea, there's some ways to pull better results, but it just doesn't have the same clout as Google or Bing in terms of searching for images, videos, or tech repair stuff. It's not far off, but that's a huge reason why we don't use it at our studio.
              • Davd767 parent reply Gotcha. I don't really search for images, or videos usually, and for the tech repair I do at my job, usually ifixit.com is enough for most things.
      • AntiThat parent reply cool, Searx also has its own proxy, which is nice for visiting possible dangerous sites and other reasons. Ty.
    • MascotteSlimFilters parent reply I'd just add Protonmail as an alternative to GMail, and "just get the fuck off of social media and go outside instead" as an alternative to Twatter and Farcebook. Especially the former - it's the internet equivalent of millions gorillas slinging shit at each other. 140 characters are rarely enough to express anything, the platform doesn't just fail to enable meaningful conversation, its design actively prevents it.
    • [ – ] Catac0mb_K1ng parent reply I'm not sure what you mean by "far left" but those of us who are part of the new left are getting right the hell off these old platforms too! Firefox is great, Vid Me is wonderful and reminds me a lot of the old school youtube which is great. Minds is going to be a powerhouse someday and I'm glad it's catching on so fast! I personally like Zoho Mail which is another indie email provider and Duck Duck Go is awesome alt search engine and Tor's default search engine for a reason. Other search engines I can recommend are: Search Lock, Private Lee, Ask, Yandex Want to give some honorable mentions as well: StartPage The reason why Start Page is an honorable mention is because it is enhanced by google. Before you freak out about that it allows you to proxy EVERY single page you visit on the search engine. Not only this but it actively anonymizes all your data and browsing history. Not to mention if you use VPN you have another layer of encryption working on your behalf (I like Hoxx VPN pe...morersonally) while you browse. Essentially Start Page is like a proxy version of google and you get to see what the deep state media is up to while in proxy mode which I like. Of course different content will be better available on different search engines than others. Cross browsing is fun that way.
      • [ – ] Raptor_Actual parent reply As someone who can identify with classical liberalism, I have no issue with the left. It's the SJW/Progressive/Antifa/Thought-Policing side of the spectrum that bothers me. Thank you for the recommendations, by the way!
        • Trauncher parent reply SJW/Progressive/Antifa/Thought-Police/CNNFakeNews etc is (Or has become) the left... or has completely taken over the left. I Left the Left. (lol) Now I'm neither. Whats the opposite of left & right? Tangential? Obtuse? hmmm. I've confused myself. (again). :-)
        • [ – ] Catac0mb_K1ng parent reply Your quite welcome! When I think of progressives people like Cynthia McKinney, Jill Stein, Margaret Flowers, Holly Seeliger, Ken Mejia, Ajamu Baraka, Cameron Gordon come to mind. That's why I scratch my head sometimes when I see people conflating antifa/progressive together. We want to end the Cold War madness just as much as the next American. Even our channels were getting censored, demonetized, spammed, etc. Now people can't even count on Patreon anymore SMH.
        • NeoGeeked parent reply Couldn't agree more, Raptor_Actual
    • [ – ] Ndoki parent reply Yeah I've been using DuckDuckGo for a year or so now. Not to sound like a total hipster but Google's stranglehold on search engines had always bothered me. I used to use Jeeves, GoMama, and now DDG. I would add Opera browser to the list. It has built-in limitless VPN, and you can make it run chrome plugins without chrome for that extra insult to the injury.
    • [ – ] OleCrankyGamer parent reply Firefox is just as left as Google, but it is much less able to force censorship (see their blogs) I guess that is a good compromise but Maxthon seems like a better solution
      • [ – ] metsis parent reply Yeah, instead of focusing on software development, they went full retard and prioritized virtue signalling. Example their female CEO demanded that they switch code references from master/slave to host/guest. Just because she was offended by those words. Ofcourse, that resulted in huge amount of plugins/addons breaking. And not to mention that everyone with any sort of skill has apparently left Mozilla, thus leaving them with virtue signalling idiots that don't seem to have any idea what they are doing other than "saving the world".
        • AntiThat parent reply Just looking at her obnoxious SJW haircut tells a lot. I hadn't heard about the naming, though. Weird stuff, as usual. I do know about Eich and his own weird stuff like Ascend. Which browser you using?
        • OleCrankyGamer parent reply To be truthful though, she is the Chairwoman, the CEO is that chunky jackass who said he'd fire the person who was glad a toxic feminist employee left
        • OleCrankyGamer parent reply That's what I was trying to remember! The master/slave thing...fucking idiotic
      • [ – ] Raptor_Actual parent reply I remember hearing something about the CEO of Firefox being pro-traditional marriage. I should probably do more research though. Either way, thank you!
        • NeoGeeked parent reply No, they booted that guy out. He's off on a new browser project. Firefox has a lot of built-in features to disable tracking and if they are left, they aren't abusing power with it.
    • [ – ] MeMadMax parent reply Google to Webcrawler. Webcrawler uses multiple search engines and is anonymous because the search engines being used think they are searching for webcrawler(middle man) not You.
      • [ – ] SkepticalCaveman parent reply Does webcrawler still exist? It was the first search engine I used over 20 years ago. I would be prepared to switch to it just for the nostalgia.
    • [ – ] VikingTheMad parent reply Just give up on Mind too. Also check out Pale Moon, its a browser that is based on Firefox before it became Chrome's pepsi.
    • [ – ] Halo13 parent reply Other than Duck Duck, I would use ixquick. I think it much better. I have never heard of Tutanota though. I will have to check it out.
      • benrob0329 parent reply Ixquick has sucky results, and no one has vetted it to make sure its private. DuckDuckGo is open source and free for everyone to look at.
    • [ – ] Bleachameete parent reply I have a Chromebook :(
      • NeoGeeked parent reply If you are able to get Android apps on it, you can use Firefox. If not, look up tracking disabling apps and extensions.
    • Broomfondle parent reply Protonmail too, so long as you don't add a recovery phone number it is as anonymous as you can get. Use such an account with GAB for example & a vpn you are pretty untraceable
    • [ – ] Broomfondle parent reply I am testing out Pale Moon Browser, very pleased with it so far too, faster then Firefox, also Brave browser from the original dev of Firefox, lacking in plug-ins right now but shows promise
      • AntiThat parent reply Brave allows google to spy on you every moment. With FF you can at least use the uBlock origin addon
    • [ – ] Kikazaru parent reply Yeah, I've been doing that as well. I've made a protonmail account, but I think I am going to make a Tutanota as well, mainly because I want to try it out and just have 2 emails, since I like to have an alternative email to use as well. I have Firefox Focus on my phone, which I recommend to have as well as Firefox. I'm slowly making the change as well. I have a minds account, but I forgotten the password to it so I'm going to have to guess in my memory of passwords on what it may be. To everyone else, I highly recommend making changes as well, everything is just gong to keep going down hill from here, I can tell you, best be prepared now than later.
      • AntiThat parent reply mostly all agreed though I wish protonmail didn't allow google to spy on you during signup (with the captcha)
    • MGTOWLIFE parent reply How do you follow someone on gab, I can't find it
    • Only1Truth parent reply For shopping online to avoid Amazon, Jet.com is pretty decent alt. Even Walmart and NewEgg are also alternatives. Amazon owner Bezos is a globalists and works with CIA, who also owns the WaPost fake news paper.
    • astraleyes parent reply Thanks! I'm going to try out DuckDuckGo now...
    • Rage_By_Nightfall parent reply Me too me. So glad I switched to VidMe.
    • [ – ] AntiThat parent reply Congratulations, Raptor_Actual, you provoked the first actual discussion I've seen on vidme. Too bad the channel owner couldn't be bothered to mingle with us peons, if even only for a minute. Look into uBlock Origin (the addon) for privacy and security.
      • Raptor_Actual parent reply Sorry for the late reply. Wasn't expecting this much engagement on my comment, so I missed your comment early on. Just wanted to say thank you for the kind words. I'm really glad I was able to spark so much debate and conversation. As for CU not engaging... While it is disappointing, I still have to give him respect for being one of the few big YouTubers who is making an effort to move their content to Vidme. Would have been cool to have him engage here, but I'm just glad we were able to get so many people here talking! Good stuff!
    • [ – ] AmandaAnderson_1 parent reply Yes, please be careful of the mix of Mozilla and DuckDuckGo while watching YouTube. The mix goes against the algorithms and security. It fried my laptop.
    • TR84Day parent reply Yea, all the censorship is scaring the crap out of me. It's a shame, because I appreciate all those services, but they will never target the promotion of "controversial" Left-wing violence.
    • Robotus parent reply Me too. I'm dumping gmail, chrome, google search, and any other google content I can. Unfortunately my phone runs on Android.
    • [ – ] Darko82 parent reply DuckDuck2go is not search engine, it just hides your requests from Google.
    • [ – ] marcuslayne parent reply Vivaldi web browser
    • [ – ] CitizensDawn parent reply citizensdawn.org is a new site i've developed and launched this year. please do use it as a free speech alternative to facebook and the like
    • [ – ] tonygreene113 parent reply brave - browser
    • So_I_Am parent reply Thanks, I am older and didn't even know where to start.
    • [ – ] Apocrypha31337 parent reply Opera for Browser.. its very good, and you can even customize what it "tells" a web site about which browser it is. You can lie with it, in other words, which is nice.
    • HazysDay parent reply Very Nice Plan ,, thanks for that public share my friend !
    • [ – ] GeorgeEnglish parent reply Well Done Sir
    • DiscoProJoe parent reply I just removed all of my videos from YouTube a few days ago and re-uploaded them here on Vidme. I also left behind a short "grand exit" video on my old YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/DiscoProJoe with the title, "Boycott Google." Check it out.
    • [ – ] DragonSkunk parent reply DuckDuckGo the malicious browser hijacker that I could not get rid of it unless I obliterated my copy of Firefox and perform several forced deletions all over my PC. So tell me again why switching to a hijacker is a good idea?
      • [ – ] Ndoki parent reply lul wat?
        • [ – ] DragonSkunk parent reply http://www.myantispyware.com/2016/10/27/how-to-manually-remove-duckduckgo-chrome-firefox-ie-edge/
          • [ – ] Ndoki parent reply lol! DDG is a website. Just because you got a hijacker that redirects to it doesn't mean the website itself is a "malicious browser hijacker" Tell me, if you got a virus that constantly redirected you to Facebook, would you then believe Facebook is a browser hijacker? lol.
            • [ – ] DragonSkunk parent reply It may be a privacy motivated search engine but it's too late for me to enjoy. When you feel so relieved that it is gone after invading your PC it's difficult to desire it. Like Hey! Remember that raccoon that invaded our home and gave you rabies, that right, got us a pet raccoon... NOOOOOO! Kinda thing.
              • [ – ] Ndoki parent reply It. Didn't. Invade. Your. PC. A virus did. Your analogy is wrong. It would be more like if someone stole your TV remote and kept changing the channel to HBO so you refuse to ever watch HBO again. But hey, if that's enough for you to allow one of the biggest (and quickly becoming the most corrupt) internet companies in the world follow what you do online, don't let me stop you. ...however with that sort of rationality I can imagine how you got the virus in the first place. I'm guessing you got a popup for antivirus products once and have refused to use them ever since?
                • [ – ] DragonSkunk parent reply You don't have to get nasty about it, rationality is about logic and reason not emotional. I don't fall for anti virus products, in fact, I have no anti virus products at all, no need when your only internet connection is solely experienced with a virtual machine.
                  • [ – ] Ndoki parent reply Yes, and to hold a virus that uses a search engine against the search engine itself is not rational or logical, it's emotional. ...just like claiming to not need antivirus products in a thread where you've already admitted to getting hijacked in the past.
      • benrob0329 parent reply Heh, DuckDuckGo is firstly, just a website, and secondly, open source. Anyone can look at what its really doing. Stop trying to scare people away with no knowledge in the field.
  • [ – ] barringtondailey reply Just saying HI. Youtube refugee here.
  • [ – ] Vladomin reply I recently switched from YouTube to Vidme and Minds. YouTube is dead, and I'm going to get a headstart on getting an audience on these websites
  • [ – ] eb44345 reply I created an account on vid.me today. Migrating over from youtube.
  • [ – ] GeorgeEnglish reply I only use Vidme now. Youtube banned my comments. (The Goyim Know.) Youtube will die.
    • [ – ] Politics_N_Games parent reply I was stopped from making comments on YouTube. I got three strkes in three days, and I wasn't informed what they were for.
      • GeorgeEnglish parent reply Mine only appear on my device. I asked Angry Jock (youtuber) to check. He puts my comments up but says they arrive at spam, no reason given. I already had Vidme installed as I knew youtube were mentally losing it. They will lose the confidence of the people too. It's Vidme for me, I won't go back.
      • [ – ] CitizenShane parent reply Wow - that was just for COMMENTING?
        • [ – ] Politics_N_Games parent reply Yes. I make anti-left comments, but they're always polite. So there was no genuine reason to block me.
          • [ – ] CitizenShane parent reply ... except, that the ONLY WAY the left knows how to argue, is through the use of the ad-hominem, so OF COURSE they're shocked and appalled when somebody employs Logic... But I'm SURE my channel is WAAAY worse than yours (same as it was here, except with a space between my two names), and I haven't been blocked yet; probably because I only JUST started monetizing, two days before the ADL-apocalypse. Speaking of which, I wonder if I had anything to do with that, ha ha ha!!! Anyway, it's IMPORTANT that we be open about our political views here (where appropriate, naturally) so that we can make this place our own. Leftists can HAVE youtube, and you'll see that with the exodus of the "cis white male," they're totally going to be broke. Afterall, how are they going to pay their bills without the Benefit of Privilege, huh? ;-) P.S. - are you the same as the Diversity & Comics guy? I just got that impression because of your name. Thanks
            • Politics_N_Games parent reply I think it depends on who reads your comments and reports you. I'm not the comics guy. I just picked that name because it's what I mainly comment on.
  • [ – ] Beardbarian reply Aaaaaaaand now all my videos are on Vid.me >.>;
    • nodetact parent reply Vidme is Batman, and BitChute is Superman, an analogy I made to symbolize Vidme's underrated features and BitChute's vast Web and Bit torrents (on-browser loading)! It's just invigorating, huh?! :_D
    • FlyingSteamBug parent reply It must have been Magog!
    • myklaaron parent reply Hey....i recognize you from Fright Supremecy....is their channel here yet?
  • JoePCool14 reply Even though my content isn't anywhere near political, I'm posting my videos on Vidme as well as YouTube now. Got verified and everything. Got my accounts on Minds and Gab, so I'm just about ready to immigrate to the new sites.
  • [ – ] Broomfondle reply People don't realise how scared the authorities were/are of the internet,,especially in the early days, total anonymity & total freedom of expression. Hate speech was just called Speech back then! Not even the Gutenberg press had people such freedom to say what they liked with no repercussions. Of course, gradually they have tightened their grip with legislation & paper trails creating accountability, & of course recently giving police the right to arrest & even jail people for saying naughty words are all just ways to stifle the people once more into a pre-internet era. These actions from the likes of Google are not surprising but saddening. It is NOT Google/Facebook/Twitter etc that want to do this,it is governments pressuring them into this action. Hopefully the internet will bypass these, but of course it will only be temporary as the same forces will also pressure replacement platforms into censoring users too. I suspect, or hope, a whole new kind of net will be formed,deep-web,Dark...more-net, time will tell
    • [ – ] sfkillmelater parent reply Broomfondle, you are so right! Here's to the new net!!
      • [ – ] Broomfondle parent reply I'm an old git, so I can remember the birth of the internet, where it took us all night to send a "picture" made of ASCII characters, sent at 1200baud (1.2k per sec!) & no wifi of course, but I remember when wifi first came out, it was very rare to have it passworded. Sure it meant anyone within range could use your wifi, but just so long as they didn't hog your entire bandwidth, most of us were fine with that. My group encouraged people NOT to use a password precisely for that, so anyone could freely use the internet. As firmware got better, with the likes DD-WRT, it became easier, you could easily block connectors from accessing your files, now you could allocate bandwidth, so they could email & surf the net, but not download huge files, which is perfect. Governments have big pushes & scare campaigns aimed to get people to secure their networks, not to help the people stay "safe" but to provide a paper trail & accountability for everything done on that line. So imagine if everyone star...moreted allowing a small portion of their bandwidth to others nearby, for free, securely?? Dead easy to do & no accountability (again). To me its going Old School & opens real possibilities for screwing censorship if anyone can use your internet, how can the state prove it was you that said naughty words, it was just via your connection...? It'd be like having a Hotspot every few yards...a total nightmare for governments to police, which would be really sad eh?
        • Liberty_Surveillance parent reply Broomfondle - you must me my age...:) or :( depending on perspective.
        • Liberty_Surveillance parent reply The MAC address of your specific machine is stamped onto every packet sent from your machine and it is unique. bytes 6 - 12 of the ehternet 802.3 spec. Below the IP/data link layers. I was thinking it could be restamped but I don't know how with newer switches which are all hardware driven.
  • Shadow_Phenix05 reply Already prepped a Vidme account since adpocolipse, gonna be making content as soon as new rig is ready.
  • smidge_tv reply Switching to vidme too . Youtube will soon be "myspace"
  • Auceza reply YouTube is crap.
  • Irish_Stevo reply Another YouTube refugee here...just saying ello
  • [ – ] ErickAlden reply I hope vidme allows politics on trending. This site would explode.
  • UffdaFida1776 reply And this, folks, is Youtube's undoing.
  • TheBaconFromHell reply Been on vidme for years! Vidme needs to take advantage of this opportunity now and allow political videos to roam free in trending in a balanced method so it does not over shadow the other content on vidme available to watch. :)
  • Senpai_zeze_fly reply youtube is kill 🦐🦐🦐 long live vidme
  • [ – ] MrFixIt reply YouTube has been putting alot of ads lately. Almost every 5mins
    • [ – ] murrr38 parent reply If you have Firefox download uBlock Origin as an add-on. It will change your life. Absolutely no ads on YouTube and on any other site. I'm seriously surprised this hasn't caught on yet.
  • [ – ] blindfire reply There's a saying about putting all your eggs in one basket that could be relevant here.
    • nodetact parent reply @Rawman looks like someone took your YouTube channel's motto by the time your Vidme channel's one thousand and more followers saw this shit going down on YouTube and may have already begged for you to do Vidme exclusives for good even if you still take longer than me to upload! :) Vidme and BitChute will do for me.
    • Auceza parent reply Yep. Good statement.
    • GeorgeEnglish parent reply True, as well as Vidme other alternatives will rise.
  • [ – ] JerrynessX reply Well hello Vidme
  • Luppip reply joined the Vidme train :) I came form YouTube
  • IncredibleCanemian reply This ad campaign for Vidme that YouTube's been working on is really good!
  • [ – ] paulyroc reply Why hasn't a class action lawsuit been filed against YouTube/google? They have found a new excuse that allows them to keep all the revenue
  • [ – ] sandia_mesa_mlh reply AI cannot be trusted to be the police of the site nor can so-called "experts." Since Google has been doing so many shady moves lately including this, I've thought of abandoning Google products all together and I'm now starting to use search engines like DuckDuckGo, StartPage and Qwant. Email service alternatives might be tricky to figure out right now though. I'm really hoping the Vidme staff will get its act together, especially after what they did to Kentantino. Like Styx said, they'll need to reverse preventing P&N from trending because no matter how many users come by this platform, they're not gonna want to be around for long if they're just censoring political and religious content like YouTube does (even though it's a different method of doing so). They'll either just use LBRY and spee.ch instead or just give up on video hosting services altogether and create their own websites with like WordPress.
  • [ – ] davidwhiterock27 reply Crazy thought, I wonder if it's possible to create a new independent web, unfiltered, and just as easy to use as the current web.
  • [ – ] Teostratos reply RIP YouTube
  • elgabowsky reply The problem is not only the companies. It's the datasets used to train the machine learning algorithms. AI is becoming more and more predominant in software development. We need public datasets so they can be independently verified for bias. Here are some examples of public available datasets (not all of them are really free): https://github.com/caesar0301/awesome-public-datasets
  • katburns reply Interesting video. Feels like hyperbole, but these days...you just never know. Information has always been censored, now it's just more high tech (and less noticeable until it's too late)
  • [ – ] greenspudtrades reply Google was a trojan horse... 10 years ago they were champions of free speech, speaking out against China censorship. What the hell happened?
    • AntiThat parent reply Well, they originally cooperated to the max with the Chinese dictatorship in censoring. There was the infamous Tianenmen Square censorship. But the Chinese people rejected google in favor of their own Baidu search engine, so that's when google left the country more or less and did their fake condemnation of Chinese censorship.
  • wheatdevon reply Just thought i'd say i now am on vid.me because of youtube censorship.
  • animeknight99 reply Welp that's way I'm here
  • Woahdude1287 reply Yet another thing that the far left has ruined...
  • wolfalexzemla reply I hope alphabet falls on eric's big fat head
  • [ – ] ADTgaming reply Wow... this is technically censorship. This is actually great for VidMe, because the masses will come over to the site.
    • [ – ] EisVisage parent reply It's not technically but practically censorship. But Youtube already had a low-level version of that before, by demonetising everything they think is controversial.
      • EisVisage parent reply Now they simply plan to make everything basically invisible that they don't like. Yeeaahh, I'm off of Youtube.
  • Artalive01 reply You and Styx I think have just got me interested in getting back to my reviews and political videos. Thanks mates and keep up the good fight!
  • blazedu reply youtube drinks bleach. great. You're done for. you've became TV 2.0. video creators that made the website what it is? fuck them, we have corporate money now.
  • Amended reply Ah. Another Youtube refugee! Welcome!
  • Rage_By_Nightfall reply Witheverything that's been going on, I TOO have left and joined VidMe and it seems like there is just better communication, and helps/caters to the video creator...FINALLY. YouTube doesn't care at all about the video creators....you know us that put in so much time in making our videos. VidMe for the win boys!
  • RightWingBDSMGuy reply Gab. Ugh. Tiring of making all these social media accounts. Oh well. Gotta expand the brand.
  • [ – ] ChiT69 reply Love your based videos. Fuck censorship-happy youtube.
  • Golgotha777 reply I'm migrating everything as well.
  • MyInnaPeace reply Another youboob refugee here
  • TheFPSaddict reply Ya just started a new account here after this news. Its unfortunate what has happened to YouTube, so hopefully this will be an awesome place for people to voice their opinions no matter what it's about or who it upsets. Great video! Looking forward to the next one.
  • Ndoki reply "We can ill-afford to lose [YouTube]" ...says the video on vid.me
  • Platypus67 reply It's always the same story: they implement one small step of censorship after the other so they do not have to cope with too much backlash; if they would have put all this censoring bull in place all in one big stomp people would have been outraged... The government plays exactly the same dirty game - taking away liberty and freedom of speech little by little so people will think every time 'oh, that's not SO bad; it's only this specific little step - and that's it' - not recognizing a puzzle is made out of little pieces... So sad to watch - and see the goal they're aiming for.
  • ParaGirlStories reply YouTube use to be good before it decided to not care about its uploaded x I hope this site becomes better
  • JustHypeVibe reply I agree let's not just depend on the big websites rather we should have some websites that also encourage to do the content that we love.
  • shogadame reply I'm not to sure but YouTube might have shadow banned LawereWolfs newest video but hopefully it's just an upload (error 444)?
  • HitManHey reply Just signed up to vidme. It's important we have an open community where people can talk openly with their diverse range of opinions... diversity is our strength!
  • AmandaAnderson_1 reply Got here through Sirridealot and Styxhexenhammer666. You're very popular.
  • SpencerStones reply expand (possible spam) Jesus Christ, YouTube is starting to become the Internet North Korea.
  • SpencerStones reply expand (possible spam) Jesus Christ, YouTube is starting to become the Internet North Korea.
  • SpencerStones reply Jesus Christ, YouTube is starting to become the Internet North Korea.
  • Rocketboy4221 reply This is horrible...Gods.
  • [ – ] Project_Salex reply Welp, Guess I have to start using Bing now :/
    • [ – ] AntiThat parent reply Unfortunately, not much difference there. Try Startpage or other privacy oriented small search engines.
  • iam1too reply Liberals are cucks. Free speech is essential. I will be deleting all things google and YouTube. Common sense must prevail.
  • [ – ] Mastercactie reply Time for a shift from google #boycotgoogle
  • Crypter27 reply This is why I'm on vid me!
  • three37even reply And you guys are *still* not doing anything about it but, bitch, complain, and gripe.
  • AlessiRocks reply The fact this came on trending on a new account just shows how much of an upgrade from youtube this is.
  • MeMadMax reply It was over for me when the young turks was in my recommends and popular channels... pffftt, please.... Can tell wtf they are doing... buh bye YT...
  • sowhat-vidme reply Fuck youtube. They are censorshitters, deleted all of my almost 3000 videos, and their youtube army of gaylord heroes can also shove it, these twats.
  • cervantes01 reply You Tube have created the world's first digital goulag...
  • MacSplodie reply I am an old fart, but I am attempting to completely rid myself of ANYTHING Google-related. YouTube id dead to me, and other than popping on for the next few days to see which subscriptions I want to search for here, I haven't been on there at all. I have tried Minds.com, still figuring that out, next Gab. I hope you keep posting videos that will help me make this transition. The events of the past week have made me realize that I want nothing whatsoever to do with Google...'cause fuck'em
  • albanothemadman reply Brilliant piece mate. Lots of work to do, but these alternative platforms might just save all of us.
  • VybeyPantelonez reply Damn this is crazy!!! So many new peeps
  • spookyboo reply I'm moving my stuff over as this plays. I will also be pointing my domains that I hand out on biz cards to here.
  • FlameCloaks reply Something people born into this century seem to forget is that the public internet was invented in 1988, and the Web was invented sometime between 1990 and 1995. The Web is great, but it's just the first Killer App for the new technology of the Internet. Google owns the Web? FINE. Let's make a new App on the same level. No browsers. No HTTP. Brand new platform that is the anti-www. I'm actually going to start a shared design doc for the first draft of the design tonight. If anyone is interested, DM me on Twitter at @flamecloaks
  • Whittakers reply Literally just created my account here, Youtube is a sinking ship i don't want to stay on.
  • So_I_Am reply THANK YOU ! I have been posting the alternative on You Tube Video I have been watching.
  • [ – ] LexHistoria reply I think at this point government intervention in Youtube's censorship crap is necessary. We have to preempt this and send it in the opposite direction. I say that the only hope for freedom of speech surviving long term is for the US government declare YouTube a "privately owned Public space" and put it's video policing under government supervision as if it were a local government (eg cities or towns). And video censorship on YouTube will thus be subject to the limits of the 1st amendment of the US Constitution as if YouTube were the same as a local government. It is extreme, but it is needed. Other sites will still be free to operate freely, but YouTube is different and must thus be treated differently.
    • AntiThat parent reply yep, except that the U.S, govt has never moved in any meaningful way against google, or M$oft for that matter, even as foreign govts have done so
  • lovetheart16 reply I'm afraid my channel will be on the chopping block even though it isn't news, now I have to be cautious with everything. This new age stuff scares me.
  • DeCapitoFamily reply youtube = bigbrother
  • 1488mydudes reply deleted my YT account today
  • vanners reply I going to start requesting all of the youtube channels I subscribe to, to swap over to vidme.
  • mattytripps reply A free exchange of ideas, exactly what the oligarchs don't want
  • FlaminAshes reply I always knew this was coming. I just didn't think it would happen this quickly.
  • aaliyah_holt1995 reply I haven't had my Twitter suspended. Unless people get "offended" by your Tweets and report them/your profile to Twitter. And if Twitter gets too many reports, they suspend your account
  • VonHelton reply YouTube supports the takeover of the West by Islam. Now ask me how I know this.......
  • Thecokeman2 reply REEEEEEEEEEEE
  • EternitynChaos reply and this is why I use duckduckgo
  • Raptorian reply Well, until way more content creators that I watch transition, I can't completely move. I can start watching yours and those who has transitioned videos on this platform though. Get some really big ones like pewdiepie to move over (even though I don't watch him much), and I am sure it will bring a ton of people to this site.
  • Sibernethy reply It's not the campaign against hate speech people are afraid of, it's the collateral damage that innocent people are at risk of incurring because computers often mislabel targets merely based on what it has been programmed to think a target is. Vid.me, in the beginning people didn't think they'd need you, you weren't big enough, you didn't have enough features, Youtube was still the video platform of choice. But now, there's a lot of people that are going to rely on you very soon. I'm here with you guys to champion the cause!
  • FXWLL reply Ive had a vidme acc here for a while. I have a political shit posting acc on YT plus a mirror of this acc on YT. My content is very non political but I know the artists are next once all the journalists and media types are dealt with. So I am here and on Minds, not on Gab yet due to the app situation, its just not usable for what I need without it. Anyway you are on point and many of us are making the move and preparing.
  • [ – ] FleckFag reply My youtube account got a second community strike using the new AI system and I dearly hope this won't be the end of my videos, I'd appreciate if this account got the attention that my YT did so if you've a chance give a look. Vid.me is going to be my new home for content now and I welcome all the other who are new with me!
  • SamEarl13 reply Yep, YouTube are shooting themselves in the foot with a nuke at this point. Trying to turn itself into cable TV despite the reason people watching YouTube in the first place being to escape from shitty cable TV...
  • [ – ] bxcope reply go to gap.ai and put a nail into their coffin
  • [ – ] MaximVB reply Vidme is the FUTURE!
  • [ – ] Basilisker reply Maybe now I'll start using this site more often :D
  • lexiegrey reply http://www.thedominiongroupintl.org/warning-from-dominion-group-recruitment-fraud-victimizing-job-seekers/
  • knowitalltoknownothing reply As far as I'm concerned, Google have taken a poisoned pill by getting on board with this "Safe" shit and the SJW shit. SJWs will lose out just as much as us not-completely-insane people because their shit will just tossed aside on the scrapheap as well. The Market decides what's OK and what isn't. Youtube was great until they started getting political. Something better will replace it and it and Google will be taken down a few pegs b/c the market is clear - Leave your politics out of business decisions. It's just really fucking stupid. The evidence is this: Google's stock price went from 983.00 (7/24/17) to 914.55 (8/11/17). In about 2 weeks or so, it has lost about 4%. That's a dip and if they play any more games like they just did, expect it to drop even more. Like many of you, I've checked out of Twitter and Google. I don't need them anymore than they need me.
  • MGTOWLIFE reply The are making a mistake here the way I see it. Ok sure, ban us from one platform. All that will accomplish is forming A THOUSAND NEW CHANNELS ALL OVER THE PLACE.
  • luralot reply Other non trackable Simjet .
  • Commentguy2 reply they removed 5 news channels i used for news got deleted
  • COSMotions reply It's getting worse by the second. Now is the time to change.

  • Bushido_Cavalier reply It's sad what YouTube has become.
  • ErrorFairy reply Everything is what we say it is
  • halfasheep reply Pleading with SJWs is pointless. Move on.
  • halfasheep reply Fuck SJWTube
  • Akamaze reply looking at the comments, i can make a few suggestions, having spend most of my life online in shadow mode. use TOR and the .onion version of DuckDuckGo. do not use VPN with TOR, and if you're really feeling spicy, replace that VPN with an obfs4 bridge. as platforms, you can use lelantos, scryptmail or [cock.li] . find burners at [grr.la] and their .onion equivalents. use deepweb-based services to access clearweb-based services. alternatives are powerful. alternative to Windows is Linux. Ubuntu is your guess. it's easy to use in the end. if you need anything you let me know
  • therealChrissy reply Starting the switch...
  • PsychoticPenguin reply All the shitlords should pick a week where you all post nothing more than a teaser trailer on Youtube that says, "If you'd like to see the rest of this video, watch it on vidme.
  • MrBob reply Screw you YouTube, your upcoming increased censorship inspired me to sign up for VidMe. CF, thanks for telling me about the other option!!!
  • astraleyes reply Love how Google's motto is "do no evil" and now, they're evil. Very anti-1st Amendment. The ADL is bad news. They're offended by everything.
  • [ – ] Auceza reply Google won't just use this kind of censorship for YouTube. They are about to use this censorship for the search engine, too. Google started the project "Perspective". The AI shall select and delete "toxic" statements on the internet. A German journalist tested this AI with several statements in English. The result is scary. Operation Gehirnwäsche: Google will "toxische Meinungen" bekämpfen! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feOrc5WMsUs
    • [ – ] AntiThat parent reply You're very well informed. Also, one of Perspective's fact checkers is the lib swamp factcheck.org. They actually refer to CNN as a source for what is factual and what isn't.
  • Harbinger50 reply Dave, have you checked out Steemit yet? One more media site to check out and a good way to get the feet wet with digital currency being earned per post based on upvotes from users. Seems you bigger guys could make bank over there.
  • Texastom reply They do understand that there are other platforms on the internet, right? YOUTUBE isn't the only game in town (cough.MINDS), (cough VID.ME). so long YOUTUBE thanks for LOLz. 🖕
  • BradGibbs reply WTF is YouTube doing trying to block that type of content? They're idiots.
  • DanLuna reply Fascist Youtube has started to SUCK terribly this last year. We need to bring the opposition here!
  • c_arnold03 reply They must be really desperate to try and turn a profit with youtube to be doing this.
  • [ – ] History_Uncovered reply Vid.me is tiny compared to YouTube. It won't compete for years, if it all. Trending videos on Vid.me have less than 10k views, says it all right there.
  • Sixgorillionlampshades reply Down with jew toob
  • SpencerStones reply Jesus Christ, YouTube is starting to become the Internet North Korea.
  • SpencerStones reply Jesus Christ, YouTube is starting to become the Internet North Korea.
  • SpencerStones reply Jesus Christ, YouTube is starting to become the Internet North Korea.
  • SpencerStones reply Jesus Christ, YouTube is starting to become the Internet North Korea.
  • Project_Salex reply Welp, i guess I have to start using Bing now..
  • General_Zod reply Just a Kekistani refugee fleeing YouTube censorship.
  • MrLucky206 reply My main focus is Vidme. It's sad what YouTube is becoming.
  • The_Next_Six_Minutes reply YouTube unreliable? Fine. Minds, Vidme, and even Dailymotion are more deserving of my voice and opinions.
  • kingspaladin reply This is sad. I really hope vidme thrives for much longer than YouTube.
  • Squanky reply We need a terrorist attack at Google HQ, not at airports
  • Cynical-Bastard reply "We've allowed this..." YES. Google monopolized everything. Fuck ....
  • Vanguard2488 reply YouTube as we knew is gone as of today it's definitely time to evacuate there, at this point we are fighting a monster we made by making YouTube so big.
  • DuoDreamer reply Wow, the Archfiend pretty much foreseen this.
  • Abeal86 reply That's why I love me some VidMe
  • spaghettimonster reply that is why im the flying spaghetti monster!
  • Hoaxashian reply i have had 4000 videos removed by Google on political grounds as I strongly oppose terrorism and Zionism, if anybdoy wishes to support me then they are welcome to my channel . make no mistake Google are a satanic criminal outfit
  • POVincent reply This is the second video I've watched in the past couple days about this. They say all good things must come to an end, however, free speech is the one that I think most of us (I include myself in that) don't actually expect to have an ending. Thanks for the information in this video, @ComputingForever. I will definitely check out Minds and Gab.
  • Chrisfragger1 reply I am new to this VidMe place but why does it not have dislikes for a video? Not that I would dislike Dave's stuff, but there are videos and comments I would like to be able to show my disapproval of, but I can't here.
  • NeoGeeked reply We're done with social media on personal accounts. Our team is really pushing away from the big dogs as they have gotten too big for their britches. Chrome/Opera to Firefox YouTube to Vidme Google to Bing (mainly for points)
  • [ – ] UnknownMaskedMan reply pretty much youtube sees its content creators as expendable. Ether you throw away everything thoughts opinions, type of content that is not family friendly and comply with their rules. Or getting copyright claimed to hell or blacklisted for speaking your mind. I won't be surprised gaming youtubers are next on their list of people to get rid of, in order to create that family friendly space.
    • Crypter27 parent reply Oh its the exact opposite of family friendly ,because right wing people are family friendly ,but you-tube is backing the radical left . Which are extremely anti family ,no their trying to shut down any one who disagree's . With the radical left!
  • desertnights reply Thank you for this wealth of info.
  • FuCcBoI reply nice vid, you should try to get more people here
  • McNuggitt reply I came here from You Tube to follow you. Nice to see you on the home page. Long live free speech.
  • McNuggitt reply Came here from You Tube to follow you. Nice to see you on the home page. Long live free speech.
  • Allonicus reply i only share my opinion on Minds.com, and everywhere else, I say nothing (opps, just said something, oh well).
  • CitizenShane reply WHAT'S UP, DAVE??? Well, the OFFICIAL YouTube apocalypse is finally here... the ADL is now censoring youtube content (See? We TOLD you (((they))) were running the media, bro!!) Anyway, LONGTIME fan here, and yeah; with that news, I'm making the migration. I'd love to hear your feedback on some of my videos; they're not ALL about politics, afterall. Keep doing what you're doing, bro! I'd say that if it was possible to invest in Vid.Me, NOW WOULD BE THE TIME...
  • junglesurfer reply Great vid illl cover this in my next video
  • Debrajo33 reply I've been carefully watching your videos. Glad to see you here.
  • spookyboo reply How does one know if you've been put into what I call "purgatory" - the "safe space for questionable videos?" If they aren't demonetizing you, do you just assume because your views have dropped?
  • Mountainghost556 reply They have to either crush or completely control the net, they know that the main stream media and propaganda being spewed to us is being countered by people expressing their views and presenting facts. This is nothing less than a digital coupe. And they are making big moves.
  • droidkiller reply https://youtu.be/F7VHj9cHmLY
  • Wydville reply #HarmfulDidNothingWrong
  • Kentantino reply kinda feel like you forgetting that they censored me just because I was talking to Eli the computer guy and this was here on vidme..... like if you think youtube is bad lol can't wait for you guys to test this place that acts like a cult. politic are not permitted and talking about the site can get you ban welp good luck....
  • CarlsonXIX reply How can I share this video on Facebook ?
  • [ – ] twentyfivebucks reply vidme it is
  • robsdroid215 reply I like Opera on the computer, but for mobile it stinks. I also have been using duckduckgo for a few months now with no issues.
  • Jarvis2 reply So im new to the vid.me app. How do I do a simple key word search. * face palms *
  • Kizzume reply Maybe if right wingers weren't so gung-ho about getting rid of net neutrality, this wouldn't be such a threat. But, you know....
  • mattytripps reply Sign up for hatreon accounts
  • [ – ] HazysDay reply Everyone spendsso much time and energy on censorship when the focus should be on , ( ignore what you dont like ,change the channel if you don't like what you see ! ) We need to stop giving in to people that want only what they want by stopping others from getting what they want . If everyone truely had a voice there would be no censorship ! BECAUSE WE WOULD ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO SEE WHAT WE WANT TO SEE AND HEAR WHAT WE WANT TO HEAR AND CREATE WHAT WE WANT TO CREATE ! things should be; Don't watch if you don't like what i make ! And i don't have to listen to you when you cry !
  • [ – ] linsonprollc reply Because of you Dave, I have switched over to this awesome platform.
  • Fabstatic reply Is the new flagging system now part of the ContentID flagging system or are these two behaving individually, becoming a double layered pain in the arse? Happy to be here on vid.me
  • Orthotox reply ADL? That’s rich! The Talmud wrote the book - literally - on “supremacy."
  • CanDooReactor reply I am on both minds and vidme. Want to see the use grow and outpace google affiliate youtube? Simple really, release their apps on tv boxes like Apple tv. The ease of access would benefit all. Thoughts?
  • AssManAdam reply Hi Dave. finally got off my lazy ass and made a vidme account. I was holding off on it because youtube already knows what videos i like and what to show me but now theirs no point since all the videos I like will just get removed or censored.
  • GamingRoom reply this fucking ridiculous
  • GamingBear reply Thinking similarly, just a matter of time sadly :(
  • [ – ] nataleeanderson_31 reply i just joined vidme today. im not good with these things can someone pls tell me how to put my own profile pic. lol
  • dziprick reply For Dave, in your opinion, which alternative to Youtube is 'winning', or do you think will 'win'?
Download the Vidme app!
