Hi everyone and welcome to 2017! A new era for Saved Game Studios with my new camera, my new video editor and so much silliness to bring you.
Today we are making biscuits, a staple that just about everyone needs to know how to make. You can make this recipe either drop biscuits as shown, OR you can reduce the liquid to 3/4 of a cup and roll the biscuits out, cut them to shape, brush with butter before and after baking for a delicious rolled biscuit.
Recipe: Preheat oven to 425F
Mix 2 cups flour, 1/3 cup shortening, 1 Tblspn Baking Powder, 1 Tblspn Sugar and one tsp Salt until crumbly. Not quite like a pie crust as there is less fat, just till everything is cut up and distributed evenly. NEXT, mix 1 tblspn of vinegar with the balance of 1 cup of milk (3/4 cup if rolling biscuits) and allow to sit for at least 30 seconds. Then pour the thickened milk and mix together. Drop on pan and bake for 14 to 16 minutes.
One additional idea, you can mix in 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 tsp onion powder and 1/2 tsp garlic powder for a garlic cheese biscuit topped with some finely cut chives and butter.
Thanks for watching. If you would like to see more cooking shows, but possibly without the Julia voice because I suck at it, I would love to do that. Drop an upvote and a comment below with what you want to see me make!
Apologies @ProjectKillJoy and @AllTheCoins but those two lines were too good not to include.
