  • userXVI reply In reality, the only reason You would want a 4K TV is if its Directly connected to a high speed internet connection and or has a built in Blu-Ray player or a C-port/Thunderbolt. You are probobly thinking Im crazy, but the reality of the matter is, most people connect DVR's and computers to these TV's via HDMI cable and HDMI cable's are only capable of bandwidth supporting No more then 1080i (one step below 1080p). Yes, really thats the whole explination plain and simple.
  • Rayman327 reply I purchased a 55 inch LG (Super UHD) TV on Black Friday and I've been happy with it ever since. It blows away my old HD TV. It's also future-proof for now since I'm interested in Dolby Vision even though there's not a lot of content out there right now. I'm not interested in a gaming console so I'm looking at the LG UP970 4K Blu-ray player. Anyway great video.
  • JustABloke reply I doubt I will ever buy another TV, I bought a new replace smart TV (yes 4kHDR) 4 months ago (due to the earthquakes in NZ) and very rarely ever watch it. All I use now is my desktop, laptop, mobile phone and watch online media. It's not about having the latest and the greatest technology, it comes down to are you actually going to use it. I believe it was a bad decision in my case.
  • VybeyPantelonez reply I dont watch tv but i got a 40 inch monitor hehe
  • ItsYourBoyCloods reply Very informative
  • rebeledgeentertainment reply Working for Best Buy not too long ago selling a 4k tv was easy. Selling an OLED not so much with the price tag. Great video.
  • theoldsparrow reply I used to be in TV sales among other electronics. A tip on when to get a cheap TV is early to mid March. That's when they discontinue last years models and start bringing out the current year. For example I recently upgraded to an LG 55 inch LED backlit LCD with HDR for $600. It was discontinued and not even a floor model. For me this is the monitor I'm using right now to type this since I cut the cord years ago and I get all of the advantages of a high res monitor. Photographs are especially amazing as I love nature photographs and can see every single detail. The eight year old 1080p tv I was using is now my second monitor and there is a noticeable difference in quality between the two. Having a desktop computer is one of the best ways to get the most out of a 4K TV.
  • opaxel1967 reply Well young man , I got to say : WELL DONE !! and thanks . Just what I needed to hear , because the salesmen in the shops like Curry's etc. just tell you a lot of garbage ! One can tell you worked and researched this very well and it explained a lot in a language I can understand !!! End-result is I won't need one as yet .. I admit it is always very tempting when one sees the displays in the shops ...lol .. Have a nice day
