[Kwasi]: Can I pick up on the point about having a referendum until you want the right answer, get the right answer? That is a good point and it does not contradict what you were saying. Yes, it was a passionate debate, the turnout was 85% in the independence referendum.
But at the time it was thought this would settle the issue for maybe 20 years. But of course it hasn't because what Nicola Sturgeon has done, going back to the original question, has now raised the issue of a referendum again. What she must not do is hold a gun to our heads and threaten the referendum whenever she does not get what she wants.
I think there has to come a point where the settled view of the people, expressed in a referendum, is actually fulfilled and people accept the result.....
