Its like reading a book that has a single important truth in it but the rest of it, not so much. I'm thinking that consciousness, like energy, is eternal. It can change without ever being destroyed. What if we are like sections in a larger tapestry, the tapestry being the Creator. That way there is no "true" death, only the little death called change. Doesn't it sometimes feel like a piece of you dies when a major event happens in your life and another part of you is born? Maybe its the sacrifice of innocence, taking in new experiences that cause you to re-evaluate and redefine who you think you are. In this way we are experiencing multiple lives in a single life. And maybe when we finally do leave one part of us (the physical body, which is made of energy) behind, the rest of us (also made of energy) gets new adventures. You could even say that going to sleep is like a little death and the re...moreawakening like being born anew. The old day ends and a whole new one begins, ready for new possibilities, new ideas, new experiences. In that way, its like we've died many, many times and lived to tell the tale. Very thought provoking video. Thanks for all your work on it. Good job!
    • [ – ] iiMitor parent reply That is an interesting way to think of it. And I completely understand where you're coming from. I feel like the person I am today is a completely different person from who I was just 5 years ago. Sometimes, I look back and I'm like "How could that possibly have been me?" or "How could I have had that mindset?" The change is so drastic sometimes, that I can see it as me being a new person, and the old having died. Truly a beautiful reality if you take the time to look back and appreciate it. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes.... lol. Thank you for commenting. And thank you so so so so much for the tip!! You are so appreciated. I can't begin to tell you how much that means. Thanks again :)

  • [ – ] Calibri_Funtimes reply Have you ever watched Ask a Mortician? Caitlin is amazing and makes the topic of death approachable and with just the right amount of humor. I think she's on YouTube only, right now.
