Another short and sweet one. Just a simple and fun rearrangement of this classic video game song. Sort of a transitional cover til I get these two other big boi videos out. But this one is fun too, and I certainly didn't slack on the effort. I actually arranged and recorded the instruments about a year ago when I first started making youtube videos. But I was really unsatisfied with the way it came out at the time. The background noise of the acoustic guitars bugged me to no end, and I basically wrote the song off entirely. Put it into a folder somewhere, never to seen or heard by anyone again. But I accidentally put it in my stream playlist not too long ago, and when it came on randomly, I really appreciated the song. I thought it was a really cool spin on the song. So I re-recorded the acoustic guitars and though they are still kinda noisy (quiet intricate acoustic guitars are hard to get to compete with loud distorted guitars and drums) I did my best to make it not as much of a distraction. Remixed it and remastered it after that. Think it turned out well, easy mix aside from the acoustic guitars. This process went fairly smoothly, considering I only had the acoustic guitars to re-track. However, I really screwed up my green screen lighting while filming and could NOT get a clean chroma key. So I decide to try combining multiple chroma keyers just as a last ditch effort to get the main acoustic guitar footage to work, and stumbled across the floating ethereal hands effect in the final video.
